At the November 2021 Microsoft Ignite conference, ASAPCLOUD’s modern security compliance solution for the municipality of Houten, the Netherlands, was presented on the world stage.
In a video made and presented by Microsoft, ASAPCLOUD talks about their security solution that leveraged on-premises infrastructure, the cloud, edge-computing and Microsoft Azure Arc and Azure Monitor to build a secure environment for the local municipality where they’re headquartered after a nearby town was affected by ransomware.
“There's a lot of ransomware targeting governments in the Netherlands right now," Eric Surstedt, Team Leader for IT in the municipality of Houten explains. "We needed a cost-effective way to maintain a stable and highly secure on-premises environment through which we can confidently provide more than 200 necessary services to our citizens."
ASAPCLOUD, who has integrated a unified management framework layer capable of monitoring, securing, and automating any organization's infrastructure right into their customer portal, was the clear choice for the municipality, and stood out to Microsoft as a proven leader, taking their technology and creating a potential market-leading solution that has local impact and global implications.
"We did a lot of research and work with Microsoft to ensure that we could integrate Microsoft Azure Arc and Azure Monitor within our solutions," Dennis De Roo, ASAPCLOUD’S CTO, revealed. "Through that work, we've been able to provide customers with a modular service representative application, giving them a broad range of insights from across their infrastructure.”

“I think we impressed Microsoft with our ingenuity,” De Roo went on to say. “And I think this solution stood out to them because of our deep collaboration with them — it’s a great example to other Microsoft partners, all over the world, of the leading solutions you can create by collaborating with Microsoft.”
Besides presenting the video to attendees of the digital Ignite conference, ASAPCLOUD’s solution is also highlighted as a case study on Microsoft’s website.
